Sisters' Time Out

COW POOP

No, we have not been bad---we just spent a couple of days together shopping, lunching, talking---having fun!
*For those of you new to this format, there is a blog archive listed on the right side of the page.  This will enable you to go back and check out any posts you may have missed.

I don't have a lot of other news to report.  Rebecca injured her back and has a herniated disc---ouch!  Everyone else seems to be enjoying fall and doing well.  Please E-mail me any family news you would like posted.

The First Post on my NEW GREEN ACRES

                                   C O W    P O O P
I have decided to go with a blog format for the family web site.  I have endured endless frustration with the Yahoo web site.  So I'm throwing in the towel and giving this format a try.  I know the look is different, but I hope you will still enjoy it.  Some posts may be rather short, but I should be able to update more frequently, keeping up with current news and photos.
Be sure to sign on as a follower so we can all see how many in our big family are checking in
Regarding the pictures I post:  If you want to see a larger view of the photo, just click on it.
Wishing you all many  happy times in Green Acres!  Cindy

Nancy's homemade apple pie---YUM!
One last post from summer:  Allison and Andrew had lots of birthdays to celebrate!

Allison makes sure that everyone gets their favorite cake or sweet.

Lew hired a man that lives up the hill from us to go up into our woods and widen the paths with his dozer.  This man has a huge metal barn, full of tractors (newer and antiques) and all sorts of heavy-duty equipment.  He's 77 and still going strong!  He used to be an operator on construction, so he and Lew have lots in common.
Kate came to vist mom Patty and other family in September.

Could this be ELI MANNING---my fantasyQB?!
Fantasy Football Standings as of 9/27:
#1   Turd Street Terror (Tom M.)
#2    Buffalo Stampede (Andrew M.)
#3     Maryland Steelboyz (Kevin F.)
Others playing in Andrew's league---the FOURTH AND LONG CROWD Dawn, Nancy, Barry, Rebecca, Chris, Cathy, Matt, Emily, Roy, Gary F., Jr. and moi.  Boy, the smack talk in this league really stings! :)

Hot off the presses:  Pi Man just sent this to me.

Saturday, September 25:  Timmy ran a 5K (3.1 mile) race and finished in first place in the male, 50-54 age group.  He turned 53 this past Monday.  Not too shabby!
