Memorial Day

COW  POOP
I've been a busy bee mowing the lawn and getting out and about.
Hope you enjoy the update.

Happy Memorial Day

Yesterday, 5/24, Nancy and I put some flowers on Mom and Daddy's grave.  On the way we had a mishap of sorts.  Nancy took a corner too fast and the flower pot in the back of the SUV spilled over.  Dirt everywhere and the  flowers could not even be seen.  We managed to scoop it all up and stuff the flowers back in.  In the end it didn't look too bad.
Timmy Visits The Kinfolk

Busy, busy as always.  Lunch at the Country Kitchen was first on the agenda.  (When will we learn that this is NOT the best spot for a photo?!)

I fixed dinner one night and made an extra lemon meringue pie for "Pi Man" to take with him.
Timmy and Roy always make time to have lunch and catch up.

Barry multi-tasks, visiting with Timmy while working.

And Nancy has to keep that grass mowed.

All work  and no play---you  know the drill.  Lew and I stopped by on Mother's Day and they broke out the 4-wheelers.

Nancy gets a card from little bro.

Nancy, Timmy and I stopped by David and Betty's home one morning and then headed to JELLY BEANS for breakfast.  We had a great time visiting (and eating).

After breakfast, Nancy, Timmy and I made the short trip to Addison so Timmy could see Aunt Theresa's grave.

We spent a while walking around, seeing the graves of our many aunts, uncles and grandparents and reminiscing about them.  This  pictures shows just few of them.  It was a  beautiful day.

Barry celebrated a birthday while Timmy was there.

As you can see, "Bruiser" was very excited about the festivities!

SUGAR!  Pie topped with chocolate cake, a donut hole, a cookie and a jelly bean.  He ate it all:0

Timmy missed his dogs and cats so he gave "Bruiser" lots of attention.
He had a great trip, but there's no place like home.

Mary Ann and Lin were in Tennessee for Lin's youngest daughter's wedding while Timmy was here.

Bride Brittany and the wedding party.   The reception was held outside.

Lin on a carousel in Chattanooga.

Mary Ann said they visited a beautiful gift shop; however, if you had to "go,"  you went outback of the store.
I ask you:  "Is this southern hospitality?!"

May is Prom Time
Connor, Christi's son, and his date for the senior prom.

Nancy, Barry and Lacey went to the park for the picture-taking session.  It's always fun to see the kids dressed up---they look great!

****************

This was done by no "Care Bear!!"
For the second time this spring, a big, black bear visited Nancy and Barry's bird feeder during the night, knocking the top part off and feasting on the seeds.  The Finch feeders (below) were knocked down, too.
"Bruiser" sensed the bear was outside and went crazy barking.
A neighbor got a picture of the bear with his night cam---
he's a big one!!

Sister Vacations at Tommy & Judy's
*This is way past due, but hope you still enjoy the photos

I lost some of the info so not sue where this was taken . . .

BUT I do know this was the St. Patty's Day celebration at Mollie's Pub in Tulsa.
They do it up right!

Dining out again---this time with Sister J.

Now I  have heard of "Hello Kitty, " (so cute) and
"Goodbye Kitty," (not one you want jumping up onto your bed) so I guess this must be "Convent Kitty!"  She's a big one!!

The trip to Tulsa to pick up Sister is over and they are back home where vacation time begins.

Sister enjoys making rosaries out of rose petals and Judy is always crafting.  Looks like this may be something for a new grandbaby?

Could this be three-handed euchre?  If so, my bet is on Sister (especially if she plays anything like Aunt Rita and Aunt Theresa did).

Congratulations to David and Carrie on the birth of their daughter, Paige Judith.  Another granddaughter for Judy and Tommy.

Rainbow Bridge

So long, old friend.  You will be missed!

For "Friday," the highlight of every day was a walk.

He was part Dalmatian and perhaps part Beagle.  His stylish ears set him apart.

Because "Mom" and "Dad" loved football, he joined right in!

And, oh yes---where the food was, "Friday" could always be found!

Always room for one (or two) more!
"Friday" came to accept and even be best friends with the many cats and the dog who came to live with him.  Still, he knew he was
"numero uno!"

He got plenty of love and attention---what a life!

Just like clockwork, "Friday" knew the exact time of day that Barry would be coming home from work and was always on the lookout for him.

On May 5th, Nancy, Barry and Lacey gave "Friday" their last gift of love, letting him peacefully go to sleep.

He had a wonderful life and will be missed.  Our pets do add a lot to our lives and teach us so much.  Nancy and Barry---you gave him your best.
