Summertime Fun

COW POOP
Hope everyone has been super busy (in a good way) getting outside and enjoying summer.  I am beginning with the most recent photos and working backward.  I do appreciate the family members who are so faithful in sending photos.  One note on birthdays:  I'm not posting the Allen family birthdays any longer.  We all know whose is when and that way I don't have to worry about forgetting someone!
Dianne (Mary Ann's daughter) has not been feeling well lately so please remember her in your prayers.
Now, on to the POOP!

A Late Birthday Lunch for NANCY

Patty decided (on the spur of the moment) to treat Nancy to lunch at the Country Kitchen and invited her sisters to join them.  Cathy and I came along.  We had a nice lunch and then headed to JENKINS' FARM MARKET.  They have wonderful local produce, jams and jellies, cheeses, baked goods, etc.  It was lots of fun.  Summer's harvest is in full swing here in western NYS!

Patty is ready to make pickles, with her huge bunch of dill.  She makes all kinds of jams, too.  It makes me look very  lazy!  Meanwhile, Nancy is pondering what baked goods to take home with her.
Iced sugar cookies in the shape of butterflies.

Corn and peaches---two of our favorites.

Don't feel like making your own jam?  Not to worry . . .

Cathy was preparing for granddaughter Kiera's fourth birthday party in two days and knew that the cookies would be a hit with the kids.

Yes, Cathy, we know you are special:)

Loaded up and heading for home---we'll be back!

PATTY'S Granddaughter's H.S. Graduation Celebration

Kevin's daughter, Shealyn, had her HS graduation party in late July and the whole family (Gramma Patty, Renee, Roy, and even our bro, Timmy,) traveled to Maryland to join in the celebration.  Several of Shealyn's cousins also came.  Kevin and Chris have a lovely home, complete with swimming pool.  It was perfect for the heat wave that descended upon the northeast that weekend!
Renee helps with food prep as the HAM looks on.

Kerry Finishes the BIG Project.

It looks like this elementary school cafeteria will be serving up a lot of seafood!
As always, GREAT JOB, Kerry!

Andrew's friend got two great seats to a YANKEES' game.  The seats were in the "Legends' Box."
The bathrooms ain't too shabby there---a TV showing the game is inset in the mirror so you don't miss a thing!

Up close and personal with the players.

Living legend Reggie Jackson says hi to Andrew.

While Andrew and his buddy were at the game, Allison and the kids spent time with the buddy's wife and family, enjoying NYC.

Big brothers help Sean with his "build-a-bear" project.

I took care of "Radar" while they were in NYC.  They picked him up early in the evening and headed for home, making a quick stop at DEAN'S ice cream (here in Bath) on the way.

"Radar's" reward for being a good dog!

My grandson, Andrew, is keeping busy this summer.  Here he is at the Philadelphia zoo.

For ANIMAL LOVERS
"Scruffy" enjoying the sunshine.

"Ronin" enjoys hiking almost as much as Brett!

This hiking trail even has an OUTHOUSE!

Brett has some fun with "Ronin,"---a "PAW SOX" HAT (AAA baseball team) and a cool one---ha!

And. . . .
"Bruiser" loves to play with the little froggies that he finds in his fenced-in area.  The only problem is that he plays a bit rough and they die on him.  Then he gets upset and cries because they won't play anymore!
It's belly up for this guy!

NO, THEY ARE NOT ANIMALS :

. . . but I forgot this pic from the graduation party weekend.
Timmy, Roy and Kevin.  A good lookin' bunch!

Summer Happenings

COW POOP
Yesterday, 7/13, I had Aunt Theresa, Nancy, Patty, Mary Ann and her daughter, Deborah, to the cabin for lunch.  We had very nice weather and a good time visiting.  Theresa is doing great!
Here are more pictures from my picture backlog---enjoy!

Theresa told Nancy to please get her "one of everything" (dessert) and Nancy was happy to do so!
Key lime pie, pineapple whipped cream pie, brownies with pb frosting and lemon cake---yum:)

We love our Aunt---she's a great example to us all!

Another fantastic cake by Allison . . .

LOVE this picture:
Jasmine and Brendan (with rakes) training to be part of Yankee Stadium's field-grooming crew just in case their baseball careers don't pan out:)

and  lastly . . .

With their "game faces" on, Andrew and Allison are ready to take on the six kids in a mean game of kick ball.  This could get ugly!!

Dianne's son, Dave, with his first-place trophy in the Greater Rochester Area Soap Box Derby.  He won in the "stock east" division.  His crew chief, dad Jeff, and the director of the GRSBD are with him.  Well done, Dave.  The family looks forward to continuing in the sport for many more years to come.

Before we moved, we tore out the slate patio and had a stone one put in.  We gave Linwood the slate and he has put it to good use at his home.  Nice job!

AND in Mary Ann and  Lin's back yard, their night cam has captured their foxy nighttime visitor again!

The deer that frequent their back yard are more like pet dogs at this point!

Before and after:
The principal of an elementary school commissioned Kerry to paint this cabinet in the theme of the school's mascot, a shark.  Of course, it could not be too scary for the kids.  As usual, Kerry came through with a perfect job!  Stay tuned for her latest commissioned mural.

CUTENESS AWARD
Work that camera, "Carly!"

Well, I made a dent in my picture backlog, but more to come in a couple of days!
