Family Feud

COW POOP
The NCAA March Madness pool, aka "Family Feud" has a winner, even tho the tourney is not over.  Gregory's Rock Chalk Jayhawks (Gregory Mayo) has shattered the Family Feud record book.  He is this year's champ and this is his second win.  There are no other two-time winners in the history of Great Scott's Yahoo tournament---and Greogry has done it two years in a row.  Like Scott said, "Gregory's Madness has turned to gladness!"  Congrats young man.
Now it's time to stop the feudin' and look forward to next year!
(You do not have to have picked the overall winner of the tournament---points are based on the best overall bracket.)
Da man himself.  It all came down to Kentucky beating N. Carolina.

Family Odds and Ends

Tommy and Judy did an overhaul of their computer room.  They each have their own computers and they are networked.  I hope they get along well as they are now face-to-face as they surf the web and take care of business.  Tommy can always move the HUGE monitor to block Judy from view if things get touchy!

Martha Stewart would approve.

Even more EXCITING NEWS!
The poop is a little bit scarce right now, so every family event---large or small, must be reported upon.
Nancy Gets A Cool Frig!
Yes, this is big news.  No more bending down to retrieve items as the frig is on top and the freezer on the bottom.  This makes total sense to me.  Welcome to the 21st century, Nancy and Barry.
The "Price is Right" model---no, it's Lacey!

This is a two-coffeemaker family.

Pi Man is ready for the end times.  Yes, with all the world happenings, he has his priorities straight.  No beer shortage will affect him with his home brew maker.  The beer is currently in the fermenting stage and he will report to us later on the taste of his adult beverage, so stay tuned.

Run Chris Run
Chris, Rebecca's husband, is turning into a serious runner.  Sunday, 3/27 was his latest race.

15k (9-mile race).  It was extremely cold and windy, too.

And . . .we must have at least one critter picture  . . .
"Cubby," the kitty with an attitude, (Allison & Andrew's) prefers sleeping on the arm of the couch.  I hear he slept through much of the March Madness cheering quite well!

So long for now from redneck country.

Sister Stuff

COW POOP
Patty and I made a trip to Rochester on March 22 and 23 to visit Mary Ann and Lin and take Mary Ann out for her birthday.  On Tuesday we saw the movie, "The King's Speech."  Wednesday we shopped and went out to lunch.  It was a tricky ride home with the snow and sleet, but we made it.  Not much news.  Many of us are enjoying the Allen Family Feud (Commissioner Scott Allen) March Madness pool.  Remember, no news if you don't send news!

Key lime pie with a candle.

Linwood is recovering nicely from his shoulder surgery.

The Bird House, in Rochester.  It's a fantastic store with everything the bird enthusiast could ask for (a bit pricey, too).  As I checked out and signed up for their newsletters, the resident cat made himself comfy on the counter right next to the address book.  A cat in a bird shop?!!!

When I dropped Patty off her driveway and sidewalk were clear of snow, thanks to Roy.

Nancy and Patty went to Renee's salon together.
Shorter "do's" for spring (which has disappeared for now)

Patty's cat, TJ---the coon cat---makes himself at home in a desk drawer.

Spring is Official

COW POOP
The LA vacation comes to an end with this post of pictures.  Nancy spotted a robin a couple weeks ago, so there is hope in these here parts!  Of course, Timmy and Kerry are already wearing flip flops and bbq-ing.
That's what's on the menu for Green Acres.  Oh, March Madness is driving many of US mad!  Great tournament thus far.

Seeing this robin lifted Nancy's spirits!

I LOVE THIS PICTURE:

Baby Bennett and Reagan with mom, Amanda, flying a kite in the Texas sunshine.

Kerry works on a crossword puzzle while the Pi Man
BBQs.

"Tink" and "Carlie" can only hold onto hope that Pi Man will drop a burger or hot dog while plating them.

Kerry enjoys the fruits of Timmy's labor.

BACK to Louisiana at Mardi Gras Time.

Kerry at the
Daiquiri drive thru
(waited on by one
of Timmy's former
math students).

On Carol & Jimmy's last day there a special, home-cooked meal is in order.  Timmy mixes up strawberry daiquiris for all.

No amount of work is too much for their guests.  T & K make homemade pasta.
Shrimp and pesto sauce---stop making me hungry!!!!!!

The last supper---here's to a great time!

Thanks for sharing your vacation with the family, guys!

Back to Our LA Vacation

Here is the next-to-the-last batch.  Enjoy!

Albita Brew Pub

Lafayette Cemetery, #1 front gate.  Oooo, this looks like a rockin' good time!
The "Allen" tomb.

left:  Timmy labeled this pic "pretty tombs."  Isn't that an oxymoron?

Nothing like walking amongst the tombs to work up an appetite!
Cafe du Monde for beignets and cafe au lait.  This is a "must" stop for first-time visitors.

Kerry

Lake Pontchartrain causeway.  Look at that sky!

The Mardi Gras spirit(s)

Time to relax after a long day.

Nancy's new jelly bean dish.

Take it easy on the pain meds, Lin!

With his arm in a sling tight to his chest, it is hard for Linwood to sleep.  But the television
has helped lull him to sleep . . . .

. . . . No wonder!  It's NASCAR.  That's better than taking Ambien!

HAVE A HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!
