The End of the Road

COW  POOP (my favorite clip art for the Cow Poop section.)

I've been thinking about this for a while and feel that now is the time to bid "Cindy's Green Acres" farewell.
I cannot remember when I started the family web site---at least five or six years ago.  I've had lots of fun posting picture and adding humorous comments.
The reality is that with FACEBOOK (seven of nine sibs are on it or a spouse is on it) I am duplicating many photos that have already been posted for family to see and Facebook updates are posted daily by many.  It's just not worth the time it takes for that reason.
I feel sort of sad to end this fun adventure.
I will, however, revamp my private blog on which I muse about mundane life around our home, the blessing and struggles of trying to lead a Christian life, and snippets of anything I find interesting, along with some pictures.  I have neglected that site for several months.  Let's try not to lose touch with one another!

  God Bless!  Cindy

PS:  I'm ending with  this nice picture of Sister Scholastica vacationing with Tommy & Judy this week.  She looks great!

Pet News

COW  DOG & CAT POOP
For Animal Lovers Only!

Forget the store-bought toys.  "Roadie" thinks these are the best.

Do what comes naturally!

"Snickers" and "Taffy"

I love this picture Renee sent of her dog and cat.  "Artie" (dog) gives up and sleeps on the floor because "Emmitt" beat him to his own bed for a nap!

BRONX ZOO

Dianne, Jeff and some friend visited the Bronx Zoo last summer.

GNOMEY Enjoys pale ale. (brewed by Pi Man)
Oosp---my mistake.  "Gnomey" is not a real pet.  He is a personality.

"Tinkerbell," on the other hand, is one cute critter!

Jimmy greets "Bruiser."

This catfish doesn't make the cut, either; but it shows the great time Andrew, Allison and kids had
when they visited Timmy & Kerry in Louisiana in August.

Ditto Carol in Bennington, VT, in early October.

That's it for now!

Cow Poop

Happy Birthday Patty!

The Big 7-0!!

Renee hosted the luncheon.  Patty's children, some grandchildren, sisters and friends attended.

I hope I get these names right:  Patty, Bethany, Gary Jr., Aaron and (darn---Roy's daughter and I forgot her name!).

Nancy and I wore our JETS/Tebow shirts.
We told Renee not to worry about entertainment for the luncheon---that we would provide it.

The old "Jets Cheerleaders:"  Give me a P-A-T-T-Y! Goooooooooooo  PATTY!
We ended our cheer with a split jump and then went down to the
"Tebow-ing" pose, saying "Happy Birthday!"

Our idea of "entertainment" proved more than Renee could take.  She took solace in an ice-cold brewski.

All our best to you Patty.  We love you!

Fabulous Fall

COW POOP
The leaves have been spectacular this year, and little rain to mar the beauty.  A shout out to Aunt Catherine/Sister Scholastica hoping you continue to improve!

October 11 Trip to Johnson City

On to The Cider Mill for apples and fry cakes.

Nancy gets her spies for pies

I'm not a donut fan but love cinnamon and plain fry cakes from cider mills!

Back to Carol's house

Later that day we met Joanie, Nancy's nursing school roommate from years (and years and years) ago. We enjoyed a late lunch and visiting at APPLE HILLS farm and restaurant.

Thanks for the great time Carol!
Timmy & Kerry Visit the Grandkiddies

Kerry mixes up muffins and fun with Reagan.

They smell so good it's hard to wait---how cute is this?

Teacher Tim works with Reagan

Timmy rides Bennett's car and it doesn't look too comfy, if you get my drift.

Tim Jr. shares info about iPhone with Kerry.

Precious memories.

 Jeopardy Contest
Last June, Nancy, Barry, Lacey and I had a month-long contest to see who could correctly answer the most FINAL Jeopardy questions.  At the end of the month Nancy and I were tied.  I pulled out the sudden-death win and collected my ice cream prize:)
BTW, Lacey had correct answers but they don't show up on the scan.

Rescued from the Pound, 10/2012

 "Taffy"
8 months

 "Snickers"
 4 years ("Taffy's mother)

Lew  love these dogs who were sorely neglected and ready to go to the pound.  They are outside dogs but are living in outdoor luxury at our house, with daily walks, yummy food and lots of attention.

Mary Ann is dressed up to attend a concert at THE EASTMAN THEATRE---their 90th season opening---"Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heartclub Band."  I'm sure it was fantastic.
The Rochester Philharmonic is something I do miss about living in Rochester!

I would love to post more now but will publish this and catch up with  my picture backlog asap.
