COW POOP

Christi celebrates her birthday with family and friends.
Dinner was held at the restaurant where Christi's son, Connor, works.

I didn't ask how old she is; who cares?!  Christi looks wonderful.
Looks like everyone had a great time.
Nancy and Barry enjoy ice cream for dessert.

Carol's chicken pot pie sparked lots of interest.
Kerry and Timmy give it a whirl.  They added a couple touches of their own and report it turned out to be yum-o!

I see leftovers on the horizon---one whopper of a pie!!!

Carol's kitty, "Swimmer" is enjoying her new sleigh bed.

And granddaughter Allison is having fun with a stuffed duck Carol gave her.

The Family Celebrates Irish Roots.

Very, very strange to be so warm that eating outside was the order of the day on March 17th.  Yes, even the NCAA BBall tournament seems WEIRD in the warm weather.  Normally it's snowing and blowing this time of year.

 Lacey is seeing green everywhere!

A pot of gold at the end of the cupcake:)

I got these shamrock shades for Andrew.

The doggies are feelin' fine after haircuts and baths.  The cats say, "ho-hum."

Erin tries to catch a nap while "Rudy" and "Missy" have other plans.
Kiera got her face painted after the St. Patty's Day parade.

That's it for this quickie update.  I am hoping the JETS get Tim Tebow.  How much fun will that be for us here in NY State?!!!!!!

Hello March

COW  POOP
Lots of pics.
Let's hope we have an early spring after our nearly non-existent winter.  We are all itching to get outside.  In the meantime, Chef Carol is going to give us a cooking lesson:

Chicken Pot Pie From Scratch
Cut up the fresh veggies and cook.

While they cook, prep your chicken breasts.
Saute those chunks of chicken.
Mix the cooked veggies and chicken with Campbell's cream of chicken soup.
Lookin' Good!!
Pour in casserole and top with a crust.

Hot from the oven.

Carol has so many cool "cut outs."

Where do you buy them, Carol?

Looks DELISH!  Nice job, Carol.  Make this for me when I come visit:)

CONGRATS are in order:

First:

LACEY, R.H.I.T.

Lacey took the exam for Registered Health Information Technologist last winter.  She just heard that she passed.  Congratulations, Lacey!!

This called for a celebratory dinner at Lacey's favorite spot:
Red Lobster.

Celebrating the good times.

And now Gregory:

Gregory, and the rest of the Livonia Jr. H.S. Science Olympiad Team, qualified for the States---the first time ever for the school.  They were the only school in Livingston County to qualify.
The State Championships are April 20-21.
Congrats on a great team effort, and good luck at States!

After eight long weeks of brewing, Pi Man's Cranberry Maibock beer was ready and his thirst was quenched.

While "under the influence," Pi Man let Kerry trim his hair:

How lucky is Timmy to have not only an artist but a barber for a wife.

Nancy, Barry and Lacey all watched the OSCARS (not me, ugh) and made a contest of it.  Brett participated in absentia.  Ballots were cast even tho they had not seen the movies.  At five bucks per ballot, a lot was at stake (a whole $20).   Brett got lucky and won---don't spend it all in one place.

Nice shot of Colin Firth.  Nancy looks pretty good, too.

Andrew, Allison and Family have a
NEW HOME!

After months of storing their belongings and waiting for closing, Andrew and Allison moved into their new home about a week ago.  Lew and I stopped by to see if we could, in some small way, help.

The photo does not do it justice.  It sits way back from the street and looking out onto the back yard is like being in the country.  It's just perfect for them and the six kids.

Gregory found this picture and sent it to me.  No, it isn't "Radar."  They fooled me for a moment!  He got it off the Internet.

Allison said she forgot just how much "stuff" they had because it had been in storage for so long, and was put into storage bit by bit.

No, this is not the TLC show, "HOARDERS!"
Marissa, left, going into the apartment off the living room.
This apartment will be used for Allison's day care business.  It couldn't be more perfect for that.  And just in case you cannot tell :)
this is the living room!
It was a bit difficult getting around in the kitchen when we were there!
And, of course, you recognize this room is the dining room (and that is Jasmine).

Lew and Andrew put the kids' beds together while I helped in the kitchen.  I was a bit overwhelmed.  However, I/we did manage to empty about five boxes, putting away bakeware and such into cupboards.

"Cubby" had just come home from the hospital, after having surgery, and seemed no worse for the wear.  He was his old self, hiding in boxes.  I took this photo.

Finally, Allison and I carved out one small space on the counters that was clutter free!  The former owners left them fresh fruit, a welcome home cookie and a lovely note.
(That's Jasmine, who helped out by folding up newspaper and flattening out cardboard boxes).

Returning from school for the first time to their new home.
(Brendan, Gregory---can't see Marissa---and Patrick on the right.)

The old house is now a memory.  Here are the kids sleeping on mattresses the last night there.

Congratulation on your new home, Andrew and Allison!

Reagan, Timmy and Kerry's granddaughter, asked her Dad if she could move the picture of "Poppy" and "Kitty'" into the playroom.  Reagan and Bennett pose in front of the photo.  C U T E!!!
Hows about an update on Bennett's broken  leg!???

Lastly, but not least, this UPDATE:

While we were at Andrew & Allison's home they received a phone call from the Jr. High School.  Gregory has qualified for the next level of the National Geographic Geography Bee!
He accomplished this by being one of the top 100 in New York State (per a written exam given in January).

The top 100  will go to Albany on March 30 competing to become the NYS champion and, thus, continue on to the Nationals---Washington D.C. in May.
The entire family will go to Albany to cheer him on.
GOOD LUCK, Gregory! & Congrats on being in the top 100!

I probably posted this before, but with MARCH MADNESS looming large I could not resist!
That's all folks.
