This pretty much sums up January:
January 27---We both took a walk that day. I ask you, who was the braver?!
Timmy: "I took advantage of the cooler temps here and ran 11.5 miles this morning. I'm slower now, jogging, but did so for 2 hours and 10 minutes without stopping to do the 11.5 miles. I could have gone longer but decided that was enough for today. Not bad for 59. :-)"
I used my Williams-Sonoma Christmas gift card and got this:
It looks bigger in this pic than it actually is. It is lightweight, too.
I have sworn off microwave pop corn---not good for you. I haven't purchased my gourmet popping corn yet. Maybe I'll break it in on Super Bowl Sunday:)

Carol, Jimmy, Jamie and Allison enjoyed a rare, mild day
in January at a local park.
Noel joined them, too.
Kerry's Amazing Art
The Canisteo dog shelter asked Kerry to paint a picture for them. They specified the two dog breeds they wanted in the painting. Kerry recently finished the project and is literally waiting for the paint to completely dry before shipping it to the shelter.
*So please don't share this picture with anyone as the shelter should be the first to see it for themselves (per Timmy).
I absolutely love this and cannot wait to hear from Kerry and
Timmy how the shelter likes the finished product.
BRAVO, KERRY!!!
. . . and Timmy keeps busy with volunteering:
Pics of the food pantry at the Methodist Church I used to attend posted of me on Facebook, taken yesterday. :-) I often wear the same "ADOPT" shirt, where the "O" is actually a "paw print" to promote people adopting pets from their local animal shelter. (Yay, Timmy)
Yesterday we served 105 families in about two hours. What you're seeing is me and the male volunteers bringing in pallets of food that was delivered. Then think of it as a big assembly line, with everyone assigned certain tasks. You see I am pushing a cart. I (and other "pushers") push the cart though the assemble line, gathering items that others hand me (and is determined by how large the family is). By the time I get to the front of the area, the cart is filled, and then I push it out to the parking lot for the recipient, and unload it into his/her vehicle. Then I get back in line and it goes like that until we're done serving.

Cathy's son, Matt, on duty outside the Trump Hotel
in D.C. on Inauguration Day. Thank you for
helping keep everyone safe!
How time flies!
Andrew and Allison Mayo recently took Gregory
on a college visit to Ohio Northern University. On February 3 they were at Ole Miss (University of Mississippi).
Gregory has been accepted at pharmacy programs in several
colleges and has not yet made up his mind which one
he will attend.
Me with Patrick (left) and Gregory at a JDRF march a long time ago!
Those of us who have been to visit Tommy & Judy
in Fort Worth know what a lovely home they have.
Who would think that such a nice home would have
MAJOR PLUMBING PROBLEMS?!
We had no idea, Tommy! LOL
I emailed Tommy (& Timmy) best wishes on the
Marine Corps' birthday.
Tommy sent me this picture of him in the Marine Corps.
Wow!
Finally, I got a new winter coffee mug. I thought I would share it with you AND post a coffee cartoon---you know I love them.
