COW POOP
We sisters planned an afternoon around Aunt Theresa. She enjoys getting out, and now that she no longer drives we are more than happy to go see her. Yesterday we took her into Corning for lunch. She sported her new "do" (instead of the scarf she often wears as a result of the chemo). We always have a wonderful time with her and are thankful for these special moments. After lunch, we returned to her apartment for a short visit.
Not a whole lot to report. We are all trying our best to stay warm in this brutally cold winter. You need to E-mail me about what's happening in your neck of the woods!

CAROL'S 60th!
Dinner at the Olive Garden with most of the family (Jennifer was sick) and then back to Rebecca's for dessert and gifts.
Auntie Rebecca with Noah.
Noelle with the newest grandchild, born shortly before Christmas to Steve and Karen.
(I forgot her name already!)
Jennifer composed a humorous poem of family memories (which Steve read), providing lots of laughs for everyone.
Make a wish!
The party's over, and what makes a 3-year-old happier than getting to take home some of the cool party decorations!
Food for Thought

Cindy's home cookin'
Mary Ann stayed over night with me the day of the sisters' outing. I made a homemade lemon meringue pie for us to enjoy while watching the antics on American Idol.
The next morning I cooked up a hot breakfast---is there no end to the nice things that I do for others:)
And a shout out to Carol B. for the jar of seedless raspberry jam she bestowed upon me, which she made last summer from berries she picked. I used it in cookies and also (above) at breakfast.
___________Meanwhile, down south . . .________
"Carlie" gets some TLC.
"Chip" says: "Do you think that my lounging on these plaid P.J.'s makes me look fat?"
Kerry enjoys a movie on her laptop while Pi Man watches the NFL playoffs. Nancy and I are trying to talk Kerry into taking the JEOPARDY online test. We KNOW she could make it onto the show!
More pics soon.
Until then, send me your family news and photos!
Blessings to you all from redneck country.

Great pics---love Theresa's new look. Wish I didn't have to work all the time & could have more fun with my family members from all over! Steve's baby girl's name is AVIANA ROSE RAFFERTY. She's a doll! Love, Carol B. Glad you liked the jam!
ReplyDeleteTheresa's new "do" looks great, and her apartment (from what is shown in the pics) looks very nice! It's so thoughtful of you all to give her a chance to get out and about :-)
ReplyDeleteBlack is beautiful
