COW POOPSnow is falling again! I enjoying putting college basketball on the TV and hearing it in the background on winter Saturdays. Syracuse better stop the skid today!!! Send me a picture of what you do on a lazy Saturday. The "cow poop" is drying up!
Taken this A.M.---N & B stopped over to deliver some apples from the local apple truck. They sell "seconds" that people buy to feed the deer. We finally saw some deer tracks and are going to give it a whirl. She also bought some Spys and Cortlands to split with me, for baking.
I love her hat. I must get one. Who in our family had the longest, blondest pig tails----MOI!!
She does look rather cute, tho. This hat was part of her "sister" Christmas gift.
Food For Thought
"The best things in life are nearest: Breath in your nostrils, light in your eyes, flowers at your feet, duties at your hand, the path of right just before you. Then do not grasp at the stars, but do life's plain, common work as it comes, certain that daily duties and daily bread are the sweetest things in life."
Robert Louis Stevenson
T & J with friends on a winter cruise to warmer climes. They are back home now, rested and refreshed.
Who is this person? Who do you think it is? My guess:
the abominable snowman!
Timmy and Kerry are putting their new Kitchen Aid mixer to the test---bread. It looks deeeelish!
Our son Steve's back yard---taken the morning of the big storm on 1/27. Even Princeton University closed!
Carol's grandson, Noah, makes one cool snowman (maybe grammy helped?)!
This is a beautiful picture! I'm not sure where it was taken. Brett spends lots of time in the great outdoors, hiking with "Ronin."
Hey, what's goin' on here!!!

I'm spending this "lazy Saturday" cleaning out my closets (literally) and dresser drawers and dehydrating some more apple slices! Tomorrow will be my day of rest :-)
ReplyDeleteP.S. I think that person standing in the snow is a serial killer! Alert the authorities!
PPS: That picture of Ronin standing in front of the "closed" sign is funny! Brett will have to tell us where/what that is.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pics of the "master-less servant," Ronin. I sure hope he doesn't have propensity to run to far away from Brett when they're outside like that, huh?
ReplyDeleteNice farm pic under the "food for thought" sign.
And let's see, today Kerry is painting some areas of the house since C&J are coming in March. We're going to have fondue later with Kerry's home made tempura batter that we'll fondue shrimp, broccoli, and mushrooms in... mmmmmm... and it's a beer batter, too! We'll have a bottle of Merlot with that, and for dessert we'll have some cherry pie. Mmmmmm. Beer batterrrrrrrrrrrrrr.... 8^) I'll try to remember to take pics and will send them your way.
We are spending a "lazy" day making a foot stool for friday to get on the couch. We have a ramp so he can get on the bed. Barry will be putting a new faucet in his bathroom. Tomorrow will be our day of rest. We plan on taking a snowmobile ride and just being couch potatoes.
ReplyDeleteCindy, where is the picture I took of you in the pigtail hat?
Hey Nancy! We have a lot in common! I make stools every day! Barry, too! Oh. Wait a minute. You were talking about "foot" stools. Neverminnnnnnnnnnnnnnd.... 8^)
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to Jim Buffum!
