COW POOP
I'm back home after being gone for over a week. Thanks to all who kept in touch and sent pictures. Below you can see a bit of what the kinfolk did on Easter Sunday.

Looking Pretty in Pink
Zoe and Kiera
Jim is working in California and not home for Easter Sunday. However, Cathy fixed a traditional dinner for Tom, Kate (with Zoe) and Alyssa (with Kiera). Tom's dog also came to keep "Missy" company.
Tom enjoys coffee and company after dinner.

Carol has to put us all to shame by baking 60 sour cream sugar cookies and decorating them like a pro! Maybe I should put in my order for next year---send by next day post, please!

Their church is huge and does a very professional drama production every Easter season, with five performances. Nancy said it was the best ever this year.
After Sunday service, they went to Seneca Harbor Station in Watkins Glen for dinner (a tradition the past few years). The food all looks delish (foodie Lacey gave me the info).
Now this just has to make your mouth water. And Barry's fashion statement----gotta love that!
Nancy's first course of soup and salad also looks great.
Lacey and Nancy shared raspberry bongo for dessert---again it looks yummy!
HOWEVER, there is one picture where the food gives me an upset stomach just looking at it! To be fair, this is a very nice place: see link below:
But this ham dinner, which Lacey and Nancy shared, makes me want to be a vegetarian. I thought it must be watermelon at first, as it is so red! Fill me in, Lacey. Was it really good? Looks like enough meat for a football team!
Okay, enough from this food critic!

Easter was my last day spent with Andrew and, as always, we had lots of fun playing together.
Royal Wedding Fever
Our tour bus (in 2005) drove by Westminster Abbey. I wish, now, that we had had more time to spend in London sightseeing. Still, it was great, and I would not have missed the beautiful countryside of Derbyshire for anything!
Next update in a few days.

zoe had a sabres jersey on and we were pulling for the sabres but of course they lost.carols cookies look good!
ReplyDeleteCarol did a great job with those cookies!
ReplyDeleteThose cookies look amazing! I should spotlight Carol's baking masterpieces on my blog some time!
ReplyDeleteP.S. Seneca Harbor is an awesome restaurant to visit! I'm not sure about the ham, since I rarely eat ham unless it's on a grilled cheese or mixed up in some scrambled eggs :-(
Thank you all my wonderful Aunts taking me to lunch for my 50th, (Missed you Carol) It made turning 50 a little less painful!! Love you All and of course my Mommy Patty!!!
