On a more serious note, Aunt Theresa is not doing very well right now and I'm sure could use all our prayers.

ReplyDeleteI hope Andrew and Allison will be able to send some pictures of their family at the cathedral in Rochester. Two of the Mayo boys made their confirmation the same night that our son did. It was a nice surprise to see them there!
ReplyDeleteDeb
Love the Halloween pics- wish I had remembered to send mine, it's my 2nd favorite Holiday and our family really knows how to celebrate!
ReplyDeleteI respect the turkey year-round by only eating (free-range, organic) turkey once a year :-)
GREAT pictures! I will respect the turkey by not calling someone a "turkey" like it is a bad thing! I will respect the turkey by remembering to thank the Lord for all His blessings to us! I will respect the turkey by enjoying the holiday with family and sharing with the needy. AMEN and AMEN!!!
ReplyDeleteAnother way to respect the turkey---STOP making fun of the sagging chin(AKA-turkey neck) that some of us have:-)
ReplyDeleteI will respect the turkey by telling a turkey joke: An industrious turkey farmer was always experimenting with breeding to perfect a better turkey. His family was fond of the leg portion for dinner and there were never enough legs for everyone. After many frustrating attempts, the farmer was relating the results of his efforts to his friends at the general store get together. "Well I finally did it! I bred a turkey that has 6 legs!" They all asked the farmer how it tasted. "I don’t know" said the farmer. "I never could catch the darn thing!"
ReplyDeleteDid you know that turkey is one of the few high-protein foods that keep after-dinner insulin levels from spiking? Just another good reason to RESPECT THE TURKEY!
ReplyDeleteI will always remember when Mom called me right after Thanksgiving one year and said, "You didn't get a Butterball turkey for Thanksgiving did you?" I said that yes, I had. And she sounded quite alarmed and said, "Oh no! They had a recall on them!" I asked why the recall, and she said, "They forgot to butter the balls"! I still laugh at how she got me on that one---she was so serious! Carol B.
