APRIL Snow

Winter in this neck of the woods always makes a last stand---usually in April.  Today was high 20's with high winds making it FREEZING!!                      APRIL, REALLY?

I was late for church this a.m., having to let my car defrost a while before

scraping off the ice and snow.

I gave in and made a pot of chili this afternoon.  While it was good and warming,

I hope it is the last pot I will be making for some time!

EASTER week happenings:

Judy and Tommy with Alison's and Lindsay's children on
Easter Sunday.  They all got together at Lindsay and Jason's home.

ALEX

I watched my grand dogs and loved spoiling them.  They

have slowed down a lot, like me, but still have fun playing

with their toys and taking short walks.

On my way home, I decided it was high time to visit Billy and Carol, who live with Dawn & Rich in New Jersey.  I think they have been there about a year and a half, after residing in Pennsylvania.  Billy and Carol have their own living quarters in the basement, which was redesigned for them.  It's a really cool space!

She recently lost one of her dogs.  This puppy is the newest family member.   Dawn always goes to rescue shelters to find her pets and 

that is FANTASTIC!

This pic is taken in the kitchen and the door goes into the living room area.

What is neat about this is the large window that lets all

the light coming in from the kitchen/dining area into the living room---a really fantastic idea!

This was a casual shot, Billy looking at a pic on Carol's iPhone while Carol was talking with me.

Hope they don't mind, but I know the sibs love seeing where they live now!

It's hard to see, but their little dog is on the chair by Billy's legs.

The glass doors in the kitchen open to the patio and swimming pool. 

 There is a lovely gazebo out there, complete with tables and chairs.  Carol says she uses it in mornings to have her devotions and enjoy a cup of coffee.  I just love it!  

  We had a nice visit.  Dawn was out when I arrived but came down and visited with us upon returning.  

I hope I get back soon!
