SPRING THINGS!

*NOTE:  I have installed a button on the left side of the blog where you can sign up for emails when I update my blog.  Give it a try!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, RENEE!

April 25, today, is Renee's birthday.  Yesterday Nancy, Cathy and I celebrated with her a day early, treating her to lunch.
We had a sweet time enjoying lunch and remembering our sister and mom, Patty (and missed her dearly).  It's good to talk about the sad times as well as the happy times.
Renee looked wonderful in her daffodil yellow.

Nancy and I wanted to make the luncheon as "springy" as possible.
A gift bottle of wine sported a hula skirt.  Also, a hula girl and flower headbands from the Dollar Tree added just the right touch!

Nancy had this photo of Patty's four children framed for Renee.  It is a beautiful family picture!

There is always room for strawberry shortcake!!!

I had no idea that Renee would wear yellow when I picked out her flowery head gear:)
Other restaurant patrons got a kick out of our decorations.
Cathy admits she needs to practice taking selfies, LOL!!!
Wishing you a wonderful year filled with hope and love, Renee!

Work day in Savona

Barry is doing a major overhaul of the swimming pool:
. . .  new sides, liner and deck.  Whoa Nellie!!

While Barry worked on the pool, I took a four-hour spin on the lawn mower!  The grass was thick with all the spring rains.

I did take a  short break for coffee and Nancy's homemade cherry pie---real cherries, not the
canned filling.

In the meantime, NANCY did spring cleaning for the
pets.
ANSWER:  NANCY THE GERMAPHOBE!!!

The kitties inside play area got a thorough airing-out and vacuuming.  They do live the good life, HA!

"Trouble" (top) and one of my very favorite cats,
"NIXON."  Nancy named this kitty Nixon because he has a crooked tail.  His is very lovable and not a crook.

Deep in the heart of TEXAS

Savannah, on Judy's lap, had the family out in force for her
volleyball game.  How this brings back memories of attending sporting events of my boys.  I miss those times.  Such fun!
What a great family memory---thanks for sharing, Tommy!!!

*note:  I have more pictures of Tommy & Judy's two-day Texas getaway which I will post next time---HONEST!
I'm sort of rushing cause today is Renee's birthday and I want to publish this post as quickly as possible.
Thanks for sending family happenings, Tommy!  We love seeing what y'all are up to!!!

  1. Loved seeing you all with the fuzzy antennae on! And that was a whole toll house pan cookie I baked on a platter! It's quicker than making one cookie at a time. Wow, Barry sure has a lot of ambition! Glad you helped out by mowing, Cindy! Carol B.
